When is the First Four of March Madness? Teams, schedule, more originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
For most teams in the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments, six wins stand between them and a national championship.
But for some, an extra victory is required.
A total of eight teams from each tournament field have to earn their way into the Big Dance’s Round of 64 by playing in the First Four.
The First Four was introduced to the men’s tournament in 2011 and has seen two teams make it from there all the way to the Final Four: VCU in 2011 and UCLA in 2021. Last season was the first time the women’s tourney featured the First Four.
So, could we see a First Four squad make a Cinderella run this year?

The sellers, retired hedge-funder Adam Weiss and his wife, actress Barret Swatek, first listed the 3-acre spread for $99.5 million in March. The final sale price could not be determined.
The owners put significant work into the property after purchasing it from Ms. Crawford and Mr. Gerber for $45 million in 2018, the sellers told The Wall Street Journal at the time, including redoing the landscaping, tearing out a swath of concrete to create a grassy meadow and updating the interiors.

Samantha Williams Sings ‘I’ve Never Said I Love You’ From DEAR WORLD
New York City Center Encores! is presenting Dear World, which features music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, March 15 – 19.
Watch a sneak peek below of Watch Samantha Williams (Nina) singing ‘I’ve Never Said I Love You’!
The cast also features Donna Murphy (Countess Aurelia), Brooks Ashmanskas (President), Andréa Burns (Constance), Christopher Fitzgerald (Sewerman), Ann Harada (Gabrielle), Kody Jauron (Artiste), and Phillip Johnson Richardson (Julian).
With its premiere in 1969, Dear World made Jerry Herman the first composer-lyricist in history to have three shows running simultaneously on Broadway, each centered around a uniquely larger-than-life leading lady. A true hidden gem of the Broadway canon, this madcap fable follows a motley band of outcasts who must rally together to save their picturesque neighborhood in Paris from a greedy cabal of oil-hungry bankers. Two-time Tony winner Donna Murphy takes on the story’s lovable heroine Countess Aurelia, performing some of Herman’s sweetest and most sumptuous songs, including “I Don’t Want to Know,” “Kiss Her Now,” and “Each Tomorrow Morning.” This madcap romp is directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, who helmed Herman’s Mack & Mabel (2019 Encores!), with new Encores! Music Director Mary-Mitchell Campbell leading The Encores! Orchestra.

At Frieze Los Angeles, Celebrities Owen Wilson, John McEnroe, and Gwyneth Paltrow Hide in Plain Sight
If one were interested in spotting celebrities among the booths and aisles of Frieze Los Angeles, the fair’s new venue at the Santa Monica Airport might be the ideal environment.
The place is flush with bright, diffused light, so bright in fact, that one gallery assistant told ARTnews she wished she could wear sunglasses. “But that’s not very inviting, is it,” she said, before asking that her name not be used.
Surprisingly, the light did not make it any easier to spy out the Hollywood elite as they prowled the space, moving through the aisles with an ease that is typical only in places like Santa Monica. While ARTnews caught few celebrities firsthand, a bevy of reliable sources saw famous fairgoers taking in the art.
Actor Owen Wilson, a staple at Frieze LA, was seen admiring the work at the Pace Gallery booth. The easy-going Wilson will soon appear in the Bob Ross–inspired Paint as a good-natured, frizzy-haired fictional painter, Carl Nargle, star of Vermont’s highest-rated painting show.
Gwyneth Paltrow, another Frieze LA regular, was also spotted among the booths. Evidence of her attendance at the fair was posted to Instagram by artist Ryan Gander.
ARTnews heard that Margot Robbie, star of Babylon and the forthcoming Barbie, was gracefully walking about the exhibition early in the afternoon on VIP day. Meanwhile, later that day, Piper Perabo, who reportedly did not phone in her kiss with Kevin Costner on the fourth season of Paramount’s Yellowstone, was seen snapping pictures of works that caught her eye.
Two musical geniuses from different generations were also said to be on the scene: Tyler the Creator and Lionel Ritchie.
Art aficionado and hotheaded tennis legend John McEnroe was also observed among the crowd, as was German American supermodel Heidi Klum, who looked both casual and glamorous in a long khaki trench coat.
